Lottery Scams: Box Lotto Lotteries Lottery Program

Lottery Scam Email:
Boxlotto Promotional Lottery Program
sponsored by European Lotteries and held in The United Kingdom

Below is another example of a fake lottery; this one claiming to be from the "Boxlotto Promotional Lottery Program" which they say is sponsored by "European Lotteries" and held in The United Kingdom. None of these exist, of course.*

Note the usual clues to an obvious fraud that we have highlighted in the letter; keep confidential, selected by a random computer lottery, use of free hotmail/yahoo email accounts, etc.

* Well, ok, the United Kingdom exists, but not like it did during Queen Victoria's reign. But we digress... some of these scams are so pathetic, we have to inject a little humor.

One of their return email addresses is a free Excite.com account.  The other return email address is at uymail.com.  Here is the www.uymail.com home page.  That really looks like the website that a legitimate lottery would use, doesn't it?
