Extortion Death Threat Scam
Emails:
Puzzo Region head of the FARC NETWORK
"i have been paid by a client to assasinate you at
convenience, and i have signed a contract for this yesterday.", "My GUYS are now contantly watching you,they are following you home,
office, everywhere....., you go and they are waiting for my instruction to terminate you and they will strike at convenience"
Have you received an email from "Puzzo Region head of the FARC NETWORK" at email address "vicki.cooper@charter.net" telling you that
"i have been paid by a client to assasinate you at
convenience, and i have signed a contract for this yesterday."
and/ or
"My GUYS are now contantly watching you,they are following you home,
office, everywhere....., you go and they are waiting for my instruction to terminate you and they will strike at convenience"
Unless there is specific personally-identifying information
(your full name, home or work address, etc.), it is a scam.
Do NOT reply to the email. Instead, notify the
FBI's internet fraud unit (IC3) by
filing a complaint online.

Below is the example of the fake lottery scam claiming to
be from the "Puzzo Region head of the FARC NETWORK".
Some of the common identifying traits of this scam are these
phrases

office, everywhere....., you go and they are waiting for my instruction to terminate you and they will strike at convenience"

names, dates and addresses!):

office, everywhere....., you go and they are waiting for
my
instruction to
terminate you and they will strike at convenience.
THIS IS MY MESSAGE-
LISTEN VERY WELL !!!, the Police cannot do much to help
you out in this
right now because you are being watched,any such attempt
is very risky
cause you will push us to terminate your life without
option. Your
calls are not safe. I have no business with you but at
least i have
cleared the way as a pro,but you may have one chance to
live again if
you can contact me not later that 48 hours after this
mssage.

What to do
The FBI recommends that if you have experienced this situation
please notify the IC3 by filing a complaint.
If the email contains information that identifies you personally
(other than your email address alone; for example, address, complete name, etc.)
you should contact your local or state police and
local FBI office. |
