Job Scam Emails: Feedback from Victims about Worldvoicenews.com

Job and Recruiting Frauds and Scam Emails:
Feedback about Worldvoicenews.com

If you have received an email like the ones on this page fromWorldvoicenews.com, World-Voice.org, Worldvoicenews.com, worldmoneytransfers.net or TransferMoneyWorld.com - beware!  read the emails below from others who have received these emails.

The email and Worldvoicenews.com are nothing but scams. We're currently investigating these.  A visitor first reported it to us in early March 2007. This email and website looks very similar to other jobs scams, like eBandSearch.com, TooSpoiled.com and AdminSolutionsGroup.com

Have your received one of these WorldVoiceNews / WorldMoneyTransfers, etc emails? We'd like to hear from you about your experiences - click here to write us. We suspect these are possibly a new wave of identity theft attacks.

Emails received about these scams:

February 28, 2007

I recently within the past week or so have received an email exactly like the one you have posted on the website about this scam! Mine was from Robin at world money transfers.net (not .com) obviously changed.

I really thought it might have been legit because it came from monster.com where my resume is. I have not yet received anything and all they have is my name address and phone number (cell). I'm based in Iowa.

I'm not going to do anything yet, I'm going to wait to see what I get and then report it. I plan on informing local authorities to let them know of my plan and see what they suggest. Hopefully I can catch them and we can end this misery once and for all.

The most disappointing fact of it all is, I really need the extra cash I don't make enough money with my part time job, and I play in a Christian rock band traveling frequently so working maximum hours never happens.

Good luck with your cause of stopping these fools.

March 28, 2007

I just received an email today from "Lauren Piccoli". It is word for word like the other ones I saw posted here. I have only had my resume on Monster.com for a week or so. These guys work fast. I know it's always a gamble to post any of your personal info on line...perhaps I should restrict the resume listing. I don't know. I do know that I am far too suspicious to follow a link in an unsolicited email, especially an unsolicited email that sounds too good to be true. I appreciate sites like this that provide a heads up to people. It is a particular shame that people needing a job, having posted a resume online, would be a target for scams. But that is the state of the world and all we can do is be aware. If it sounds too good to be true it usually is. I live by this and it protects me from being scammed time and time again. Thank you, Sion

I was also scammed by these people. They screwed up my life. I am now going to court trying to fix this scam. Please if there is anything that you know or that you may have to help me explain to the court what exactly happened I would be so thankful. I'm a single parent and I have no idea what to do now. Also here are some more emails addresses to add to your list.

I was contacted by phone from someone from World Careers prior to receiving the email below. However before completing any of the login information via the link I decided to check them out as my resume on Monster.com had not been viewed in the last two days. I have also received spam emails from World-Voice and Too-Spoiled. I have since blocked those email addressed. I hope this information is useful.

Thank you,

Elaine R.

April 11, 2007

After having posted on careerbuilder.com, I have been getting a disturbing number of emails claiming to be offering jobs from companies that do not check out after search on Google. I recently received one from someone called Morgan Corbin saying he or she was from World Voice News, claiming to be a fast-growing internet news source with thousands of reporters in the U.S. and TENS of thousands worldwide and offering me a position as an expert in their "Entertainment and Travel Advice" section with a starting pay of thirty dollars an hour. An internet search debunked the claims of World Voice being a large, growing company, finding only a few web pages relevant to it. Most of these pages could only belong to the company itself. One of them, www.thetruthaboutworldvoice.com, defends World Voice against supposedly slanderous accusations that can be found online, while another page www.whatisworldvoice.com tries to promote the company by taking some pathetic cheap shots at other news outlets, such as claiming CNN produced poor coverage of "the initial Iran war," apparently not aware that we have never been at war with Iran, it is Iraq we have invaded. Great use of stock photography, but everything else looks and smells like s***. The only other page, that was from a site called Associated Content (www.associatedcontent.com/article/178253/world_voice_news_scam_.html) mentioned World Voice described it as a fraud site, claiming it is merely a renaming of a previously exposed fraud called USA Voice that would solicit people to contribute news articles in exchange for monthly payments. The monthly payments never materialized, with the real intent probably being to phish information from applicants. AC also noted that the only source describing slanderous information about World Voice was from World Voice itself on the page mentioned previously. This suggests an attempt to preemptively address claims that will inevitably be made as this scam is revealed by people like me who are tired of all this BS. Here is a copy of the email that I have cut and pasted from my junk email folder:
